Thursday January 9- New enews update
Hi !
To those of you who recently joined, welcome! This is a “pre” enews edition.
For the Email 366 subscribers: Miss me? It feels different to not be emailing every day. (Bonus tip in today’s P.S.!)
I’m just here to drop a quick note about my new enews.
The first edition will arrive in your inbox next Thursday. The banner of the email has the name and tagline. Here’s a little more info.
Every Thursday “From Survival to Thrival” will include:
A focus on a nonprofit pain point and a potential solution
Great sector content for you to read and learn from
Tips, best practices and advice based on my 25 years in the sector
Features, extras and of course something to smile and even laugh at
I know how frustrating being a nonprofiteer can be and how the prevailing scarcity/poverty mindset causes extra stress. My goal is to try to solve problems and encourage a growth mindset to help even the smallest shop thrive.
Before I go, I have a question: What is the biggest professional pain point you personally and/or your organization are facing right now? Hit reply to this email and lemme know. I want to cover a wide range of nonprofit challenges in the enews and help you, my subscribers.
Back at it next Thursday. Have a great weekend!

Taking your organization from survival to thrival
P.S. You’ll be shocked but I have an email tip: Social proof is a great way to mobilize people to take action. Consider that when people are looking for something, they ask their network- family and friends- for recomms.
The same goes for your organization. Quotes in emails from donors, volunteers, Board members, corporate partners and more carry weight. Your audience will see them, maybe even recognize them and think: If that person is a donor and says this is a worthy cause, I’ll give as well.
I know that recomms and testimonials are very underused in email. Post them!
Which leads me to a second request…
During the last year I didn’t post any testimonials about Email 366. I wanted to concentrate on the tips. But now that it’s over, I have a small favor to ask: If you and/or your organization found the tips to be helpful to your email fundraising and marketing efforts, would you be willing to send me a short testimonial I could use?
Thank you in advance!
