Saturday June 15- tip 167
Hi ,
From time to time I’m going to share with you a few subject lines I liked and a few I wasn’t too fond of. A chance for you to gain some inspiration for your emails... and see what to avoid.
I liked | Not great |
---|---|
Thank you for taking action! (Houston Food Bank) | Help us reach our urgent donor monthly goal |
Ephraim, share the love for CDP educators (Children’s Day Preschool) | Your Environmental Education Day supporter record enclosed |
Don’t read this email 👀 (Jess Birken) | Deadline approaching: 11:59pm |
Helping others can benefit you too (The Carter Center) | Top stories: November 2023 |
The subject line from Children’s Day Preschool:
It’s personalized
Makes me curious how I can share the love
I actually know the organization, have visited their preschool and seen firsthand the great work they do. Makes me even more curious how I can share the love with their educators. Yes I’m opening the email.
On the “not great” side, nothing spoke to me as a subscriber. It was either organization centric (help US reach…) or was just plain boring (top stories).
Back at it tomorrow,

P.S. Ahead of summer vacation, I’m compiling a list of movies with email themed titles. Send me what ya got!
